It’s been a good week, despite the family (including me) having the flu. Perhaps it was the “special” cough medicine my doctor prescribed, but I had a moment of clarity. I needed to tie the local website more closely to the national blog, and I needed to better define my target market. It’s a branding thing!!!
So I completely changed the www.roomsthatwork.com static html website to a blog site – meaning it’s a blog acting more like a website. Then I changed the theme of the existing blog www.yourhomeonlybetter.com to match the RTW site, with just a few minor changes in the header.
I’m also narrowing my niche target to the DIY audience, and have included i-Staging services, which is a perfect fit for DIY-ers who just need some professional direction.
It’s too early to quantify results, but already traffic has doubled on the RTW site. Woot woot!
